George Takei is an actor who is most famous for portraying Hikaru Sulu in Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Animated Series and its spin-off movies. He reprised the role in a guest appearance for the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Flashback". Decades later he reprised Sulu's voice in LD episode: "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus" and starred in the Star Trek: Khan podcast series in 2025.
In the 1990s, he performed the narration for three Captain Sulu Adventures audiobooks based on Sulu's adventures aboard the USS Excelsior: Cacophony, Envoy, and Transformations. He also co-narrated the audiobook releases of Strangers from the Sky, Web of the Romulans, The Entropy Effect, Spock's World, and The Final Frontier with Leonard Nimoy "as the voice of Spock".
Additionally, he co-wrote the DC Comics title So Near the Touch with Peter David. He also wrote the introduction to the DC Comics omnibus Who Killed Captain Kirk? and contributed a recipe for "Drunken Seafood" to TOS reference: Official Cooking Manual.
