The Andorian phaser beam array was an Andorian weapon technology, a directed energy weapons emitter commonly installed on Andorian starship classes operated by the Andorian Guard and Federation Starfleet in the 2400s decade, starting with the tier 5-rated Andorian escorts. Such a beam array fired phaser energy at a target, dealing an average amount of damage. As a phaser beam array, it had a 250° firing arc. Compared to other energy weapon types, Andorian space particle phaser weapons performed like baseline phaser weapons, with a chance to knock a target's subsystem out temporarily. In the 2150s, Andorian Empire Kumari-class battlecruiser fired narrow, blue beam weapons from several points across the hull, including the bow. United Earth Starfleet identified these as particle beam cannons. (ENT episode: "Kir'Shara")

In the 2400s and 2410s, Andorian phasers fired screeching, blue-colored beams and were available with different ratings of advancement, ranging from mark I to mark XV, plus unrated variants. These beam arrays could be modified by personnel to improve accuracy, critical severity, critical chance and damage output. Aboard starships, Andorian phaser beam arrays could be slotted in fore and aft weapon emplacements. The variant Andorian phaser dual beam bank could only be placed in a fore weapon slot, however. Among the tier 5-rated Andorian escorts active by the year 2409, the Charal-class escort carried one Andorian phaser beam array fore and aft each. The tier 1 Kumari-class light escort carried one forward Andorian phaser beam array and one standard, orange-firing phaser beam array aft. During the Tzenkethi Crusade of 2410, member species of the Khitomer Alliance worked on projects that shared their shipbuilding practices, leading to a new breed of pilot escorts. The Andorian pilot escorts were equipped with Andorian phasers. The Andorian phaser beam array's Klingon Empire and Romulan Republic counterparts were the Lethean disruptor beam array and Dewan plasma beam array, respectively. (STO website: Emergence: Stats of the Allied Pilot Escort Bundle!)

In 2412, the pilot light battlecruiser classes were based on the 2140s- and 2150s-era Kumari class. Each subclass variant - including the Kumari, Stalking Makras, Talas and Andorian Talas-class - carried two Andorian phaser beam arrays as aft weapons.
