Ukraine was a nation-state on Earth, in the eastern European continent. It bordered Russia, Romania, Poland, Belarus, and the Black Sea. Ukraine's capital city was Kyiv (Kiev).

History and specifics

During much of the 20th century, Ukraine was a component of the Soviet Union. Doctor Viktor Lozinak of Ukraine was a key member of the Chrysalis Project in the 1970s decade. In May 1974, Roberta Lincoln claimed she recognized his Ukrainian accent from someone she dated in college. (TOS - The Eugenics Wars novel: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 1)
