Orendal[2] was star, a yellow class G2V dwarf star[1] with an associated system. The Orendal system was located in the Markonia sector[1] and Tekara sector block[1] of the galaxy's Delta Quadrant[2]. Orendal hosted six planets, including the homeworld of the Orendalians. The system's primary was similar of Sol.[1] (ST reference: Star Charts, STO - With Friends Like These... mission: "Orendal System Patrol")

Location

The in .

The Markonia sector in 2410.

In the 2370s decade, the Orendal system was located in unclaimed space between the territories of the Turei, Hierarchy and Markonians. (ST reference: Star Charts)

When the Delta Alliance expanded into the Delta Quadrant, astrography placed the Orendal system in the Markonia sector of the Tekara sector block, part of the larger Delta Quadrant sector block. The system was within the Hierarchy sphere of influence but the Orendalians maintained their independence. (STO - Taking Care of Enemies mission: "Tempting Targets")

History

The liberated Borg Lansor claimed to have acquired Borg technology on Orendal V when he offered it for sale to Seven of Nine, another xB. Seven served aboard the wayward Federation Intrepid-class starship USS Voyager, which was docked at the Markonian outpost, a regional trading station, in the year 2376. (VOY episode: "Survival Instinct")

When Starfleet returned to the Delta Quadrant in 2379, the region of space around Orendal was an area of interest. (Star Trek Adventures module: Delta Quadrant Sourcebook)

By the early 25th century, Orendal had become the third major trade hub besides the Markonian Outpost and the Hierarchy-controlled Kinbar system. (STO - Delta Quadrant mission: "With Friends Like These...")

In 2410, the Hierarchy lured a Delta Alliance ship to the system in an effort to collect a bounty. The Overlookers suffered costly defeats and their fleet was forced to retreat.. (STO - Taking Care of Enemies mission: "Tempting Targets")
