Loki was the name given to a G-type star with an associated star system, near the Romulan Neutral Zone, orbited by the planet Obsidian.

History and specifics

In the late 23rd century, Loki entered a period of increased flare and radiation activity, exacerbating the already difficult living conditions for the natives of Obsidian. This increased output prompted Obsidian to seek out Federation assistance in the 2290s. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Forge)
