Lapolis was a star with an associated star system. It was located in the Alpha Quadrant. (ST website: StarTrek.com)

On 2369, after leaving off equipment and personnel at the recently renamed space station Deep Space 9, the USS Enterprise was ordered to the Lapolis system. It was unclear if the Enterprise made it to the system before returning to the Bajoran system in order to claim the wormhole there. (DS9 episode: "Emissary", ST website: StarTrek.com)
