Inuvik was a remote settlement in the Arctic Circle in Canada, on the North American continent of the planet Earth. Founded in 1958, the town was located within the Northwest Territories province not far from the Mackenzie River.

History and specifics

By 12 August 1985, a plane from Elemendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska had landed at Inuvik, carrying military personnel from Majestic 12. They then took a helicopter from Inuvik to the airport at Tuktoyaktuk en route to a glacier where a crashed Iramahl starship had been spotted. (TOS novel: Elusive Salvation)
