Greece is a nation-state of the Human civilization on the European continent of the planet Earth. Greece was home to one of the earliest known Terran civilizations in history, the development of the Greek language, as well as home to one of the first democratic governments on the planet, located in Athens.

History and specifics

After spending centuries as part of the Roman Empire and Ottoman Empire, Greece regained its independence in 1830.

When a landing party from the USS Enterprise encountered the Guardian of Forever in 2267, the Guardian displayed images from ancient Greece. (TOS - Crucible novel: The Fire and the Rose)
