Emma Bartel (also known as Kerry Bartel) was a 24th century Human woman. She was a career officer in Starfleet, and by the end of the 2360s decade, had reached the rank of lieutenant.

In the novelization of Relics, this character's first name is given as "Kerry".

Biography

Bartel served as an engineer aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D in the year 2369. She assisted Geordi La Forge in main engineering during the vessel's encounter with a Dyson sphere and the recovery of missing person Montgomery Scott from the wreckage of the USS Jenolen. In 2379 when Commander Riker was trying to convince La Forge that he would make a great first officer, as evidence of his leadership skills Riker listed several good engineers, including Bartel, who had served under La Forge in engineering.
