Chip Carter is a reference author and RPG contributor. In the 1990s, he served as a Paramount production staffer who reviewed and approved submissions of Star Trek comic book scripts, RPG sourcebooks, and CCG sets for publication. He was product developer of the TNG/X-Men crossovers and worked in acquisitions for the Elite Force tie-in comic.

Outside of Star Trek, he has written numerous Trivial Pursuit sets, as well as references for Wicked, Godzilla, Ultraman, The Office, Supernatural, and others.
