Pilok was a 23rd century Romulan woman who served as an ambassador to the Romulan Star Empire in the 2260s of the Kelvin timeline.
Biography
Pilok's birth and youth were treasured memories for her father, Joltair. When Pilok was young, she spent time with her father learning how to skip stones on water. Eventually she rose to serve with him as a fellow ambassador.
In 2263, during a Babel Conference addressing the Borg threat to Romulus and the Federation, she was traumatized to see her father assassinated in front of her. When poison was confirmed as the means of death, she insisted that Romulans would get to the bottom of it. When Shev Akria was soon arrested, she gave an ultimatum that he be turned over to her within an hour, despite Federation regulations, or the conference would be over. (TOS - Boldly Go comic: "Issue 7")
T'Laan learned the true identity of Joltair's murderer through a mind meld with the deceased, and also saw his memories of Pilok growing up. When T'Laan told her, Pilok disbelieved her, but T'Laan proved it by having the knowledge that she was Joltair's daughter. James T. Kirk and Spock then presented Pilok with the actual murderer, Tellarite Ambassador Kintro. Pilok took custody of Kintro. (TOS - Boldly Go comic: "Issue 8")
