Ordover was a star system, located somewhere in Federation space in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

History and specifics

The system's origin was similar to Sol's in that it formed from supernova remnants. The system had a higher than average ultraviolet output, and was discovered by Vulcans in 2218. A forged star chart purported to claim that Elasians discovered the system in 2168. (TOS novel: Firestorm)

The Ordover system's orbit was the location of Starbase Neil Armstrong. (DS9 novel: Fallen Heroes)

It was also the site of at least one planet, the inhabited world Rakatan and its moon Skaftar. (TOS novel: Firestorm)

The Ordover system was named for Pocket Books editor John J. Ordover.
