The Intrepid NV-01.

NV was a 22nd century United Earth registry number prefix, a registry designation used by United Earth Starfleet for NV-class starships from the 2150s decade. (STO website: Corruption: The 16th Anniversary Bundle!)

History and specifics

.

Antietam NV-06.

The registry number of Intrepid NV-01 became the namesake of its class. This followed the precedent set by the earlier Ganges NP-01 of the NP class and followed by the Enterprise NX-01 of the NX class. (STO website: Corruption: The 16th Anniversary Bundle!)

The ship class was also referred to as Intrepid-class. (ENT - The Romulan War novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)

Another designation was the Intrepid type, with the associated registry number prefix FX. Intrepid-type ships were registered sequentially, including Nimitz FX-33. (Star Trek Adventures RPG module: Utopia Planitia Starfleet Sourcebook)

In the 25th century, Federation Starfleet shared the NV- and its derived Interceptor-class from the 24th century with their Khitomer Alliance partners. In the 2410s, ships of the NV- and Interceptor class could use the NV registry number prefix, among others. Ships of the NV class could carry their registry number without displaying it on the hull.
