Biography
Mendon was from the same geostructure as Mordock, the first Benzite to enter Starfleet Academy. (TNG episodes: "Coming of Age", "A Matter of Honor")
In 2365, Mendon served in the sciences division on the bridge of the starship USS Enterprise-D, flagship of Starfleet as part of the Officer Exchange Program, borrowed from the government of Benzar. Ensign Mendon was instrumental in saving both the Enterprise and the IKS Pagh from a microbial plague. (TNG episode: "A Matter of Honor")
First Splinter timeline
By 2385 (First Splinter timeline), Lieutenant Commander Mendon was chief science officer of the USS Prometheus, under the command of Captain Richard Adams. Unfortunately, Mendon was part of a small minority of Benzites who could not undergo genetic engineering without risk to their health, and required to wear a respiration device in standard oxygen/nitrogen atmospheres.
