Lojo was a 23rd century Bwujan man.
History
Lojo was born as an air-breather to water-breathing parents in the underwater civilization of Bwuja. He was one of thousands of such children who were sentenced to death by high priests, but Raan XIV secretly had him taken as a baby to air-filled caverns to grew up underground.
In 2266, Lojo met a landing party from the starship USS Enterprise, who had also been sent to the caverns. Lojo and a senior Bwujan man explained that many tried to climb back to the surface, but all either died or returned. With their knowledge, James T. Kirk resolved to follow the route of the climbers to see if any made it to the surface. (TOS comic: "The World Beneath the Waves")
