The Krell were an ancient civilization that, by the 23rd century, had apparently long since died off and gone extinct.
History and specifics
They were said to have lived on the planets Altair VI and Altair IV. There were two major theories on the original inhabitants of Altair, one linked their ruins to the Preservers the other to the Vegan Tyranny. (FASA RPG module: The Federation; ST reference: Star Trek Maps)
