The Desert Path was a religious sect in Cardassian society which was a smaller branch of the Oralian Way.
In 2318, the Oralian cleric Hadlo was willing to sacrifice the Desert Path sect and the Church of the Love of the Fates to the Cardassian Central Command in order to allow his followers to continue to prosper on Bajor. (DS9 novel: Day of the Vipers)
