In the mirror universe, the Compiler class was a 25th century alien starship type, a tier 6-rated science dreadnought in the Other's service in the 2410s decade. In the year 2411, the primary universe counterpart of the Other, V'ger, reconstructed the Compiler class for service in the Khitomer Alliance. (STO website: Ascension: Compile The Universe)

Wesley Crusher merged forcefully with the Other to increase his near godlike powers, moving to the primary universe to attack the Sol star system in 2411. Through the Ilia probe, V'ger became aware of the threat. (STO - Terran Gambit mission: "Eye of the Storm")

The V'ger entity reconstructed the Compiler vessels to provide them as starships for corporeal lifeforms. A Compiler-class science vessel/dreadnought operated like modern starships but with additional pieces of technology within its subsystems. The Khitomer Alliance powers did not know whether they had unlocked the science dreadnought's entire potential or if there was more to the alien design.

Ships of the class were fitted with digital construct drones which could be launched from a pair of hangarbays like a frigate-level starship. Like their mothership, these drones were fitted with specialized plasma weapons, the digitizer plasma beam arrays and plasma digitizer probes. Each hangar had room for two digital construct drones. By default, ships of this class lacked registry numbers and name prefixes. Named ships included the Collator, Collector, Digitizer and the Gatherer. A Compiler-class starship was smaller than V'ger but as wide as a Federation Universe-class dreadnought. (STO website: Ascension: Ten Forward Weekly)
