Cirque was a 20th century literary work by Terry Carr published in 1977.

Captain Jomo Murumbi owned a printed hardcover of the novel in the early 2260s decade which had been specially preserved. Nyota Uhura mentioned the book in a personal letter about Murumbi to her childhood friend Maryanne Chungwa. (TOS reference: Star Trek II Biographies)
