Attack cruiser is a term used by the Klingon Defense Force (among others) for some large combat-oriented starship classes. More generically, this term can be used to describe any attack ship that has the capability to embark on cruiser missions.
History and specifications
Technically, the term appears to be equivalent to "battle cruiser" (or heavy cruiser), but its usage tends to be associated with the larger ships developed in the 24th century, and most specifically the Vor'cha-class.
