Assimilation² (a subtitle of Star Trek: The Next Generation—Doctor Who) is a 2012 crossover miniseries, featuring the crew of the Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as The Doctor and elements from the television series Doctor Who. As an eight-part comics miniseries produced by IDW Publishing, Assimilation² premiered in May 2012. The series was written by Scott & David Tipton, with Tony Lee, and features painted art by J.K. Woodward from pencils by Gordon Purcell. Two reprint editions were released, each comprised of half the series each. A complete hardcover omnibus was released in November 2013.

Summary

The series featured the Borg and the Cybermen, both cybernetic races from their respective universes that intend to assimilate Humans. In the 23rd century, The Fourth Doctor joins with Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise to investigate a Cyberman incursion. In the 24th century, The Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams unite with Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise-D to confront a joint Borg/Cyberman fleet.
