2121 was, on Earth's calendar, the 22nd year of the 22nd century, and the second year of the 2120s decade. Although this was a time period before Human formulation of stardates, this era begins with stardate 2121.0.^[1]

• Over the next year, a number of scientific probes are sent out from Earth, Vulcan and the Alpha Centauri system as part of a joint scientific project.^{[citation needed][2]}
• According to one account Zefram Cochrane returned to Earth for the first time since leaving for the Alpha Centauri system twenty years earlier. He enlists Henry Archer's help to build a new warp engine.^[3]
• 11 year-old Jonathan Archer meets Sarek's future mother.^[4]
• Together with his father Henry Archer, nine-year-old Jonathan builds a model spaceship.^[5]
