2063 was, on Earth's calendar, the 64th year of the 21st century, and the fourth year of the 2060s decade. Although this was a time period before Human formulation of stardates, this era begins with stardate 2063.0^[1].

Events

The Vulcan starship T'Plana-Hath is dispatched to chart potential wormhole eddies that could be created by Jupiter's interaction with Sol.^[2]
Marion Dulmur and Gariff Lucsly investigate the USS Enterprise-E's time incursion with a post-temporal violation reconnaissance mission via the Guardian of Forever.^[3]

A Borg sphere appears in orbit of Earth and attacks Bozeman, Montana, from orbit in an attempt to kill Zefram Cochrane and prevent First Contact between Earth and Vulcan. The sphere is destroyed by the USS Enterprise-E, which pursued the sphere from the year 2373. Borg drones beam aboard the Enterprise and attempt to assimilate the ship, but are thwarted by Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Lt. Cmdr. Data.^[4]
Meanwhile, Enterprise personnel aid in the repair of the Phoenix, Cochrane's ship, and convince Cochrane to go ahead with his historic first demonstration of warp drive. The influence of the future goes unrecorded in history.^[4]

Zefram Cochrane tests the Phoenix, demonstrating warp drive by achieving Warp 1 for approximately one minute in the Sol system.^[4]
Gary Seven allows the Vulcans to discovered to warp signature aboard the T'Plana-Hath.^[5]
A passing Vulcan ship near Neptune^[6], the T'Plana-Hath, detects the warp signature and lands in Bozeman later that evening, officially making first contact with Humans.^[4] Christopher Brynner joins Jerome Drexel in watching the first contact.^[6]

The New New York Times publishes an article about first contact between Humans and Vulcans.^[7]

Timothy Lynch is lost after being assimilated. He is later terminated by Jean-Luc Picard.^[4]
Lieutenant Hawk is lost after being assimilated. He was later shot out into space by Lt. Commander Worf.^[4]
Inge Eiger and Paul Porter ares lost after being assimilated. They are killed, when Captain Jean-Luc Picard destroyed the Borg Queen and deactivated all drones aboard the Enterprise.^[4]

5 April 2063: Zefram Cochrane killed Solkar, the first Vulcan to exit the T'Plana-Hath, and the people of the Bozeman board and capture the ship, leading to the Terran Empire's eventual conquest of Vulcan, Andoria, Tellar, and Orion.^[8] The day was later celebrated as a holy day by the Terran Empire.^[9]
