Jolan Tru!

I am Winterhawk.
A Romulan Preatoriate. ( Self Retired )

and a life member of the Romulan (Rihannsu) Star Empire.

What can I state that has already been done so many times before. Yes I'm a Trek fan. I started watching Star Trek back when it was on television in 1969. Guess you could call me a "true old timer". I was 7 years old and have been hooked ever since!

Trek was more then just a television show for me. It was a way to escape the normal tensions of that time. (Which I will not get into). It opened my eyes and mind to the wonderous possablilties of what the future would someday hold, if not in real time then in at least an understandable "possable" future.
Remembering back now, while other kids went to recess and played kickball or other "normal things" a group of my friends and I would act out the latest epsiode of Star Trek that we had watched the night before.
This might be surprising but I was not a fan of Captain James T Kirk. Nor was I a huge fan of Mr Spock. Nope, for me it was Mr Scott, Dr McCoy. or Sulu!
Kirk was always fighting something or someone and or kissing some woman! YUK!

(Keep in mind I was only 7). Spock, well he was the true answer man. If a problem arose (which it always did) He found a way to solve it in some fashion or another.

Now Mr Scott, there was a true hero! How many times did he have to push the limit of the Enterprises engines to the brink, or rush here and there to correct a problem? Every time though he made the grade! saved the ship and left just enough time for the rest of the crew to relax as they went onto the next Starbase or mission.

DR. McCoy. With his constant banter between himself and spock kept me laughing over and over. With statements like "you green blooded Vulcan" or some quip about spocks ears, and the way he would respond to Captain Kirk with "I'm a simple country doctor not an engineer" or others, was just so unheard of.

Sulu always at the helm, ready to fire phasers or "Get us outta here" A steady and calm member of the Enterprise crew.

Of course there is so much more I could say but that would be rambling and I feel I have done enough already.

Currently I am writing my own Trek type novel but not about the Federation.

I'll post more here at a later time.
