The Star-class was a type of Klingon Empire starship, a battleship in service to the Klingon Defense Force in the 23rd century.

History and specifications

In the year 2269, James T. Kirk expected at least one Star-class battleship to be among the reinforcements heading for the planet Organia after the Federation starship USS Enterprise had destroyed a Klingon cruiser and three corvettes which were stationed there. (TOS novel: Spock Must Die!)

Background

The Croatian language translation of the novel shows some fairly generic spacecraft or space probes over a rocky planetoid. In the context of the story, this might represent the Klingon warships such as the Klingon corvettes or this battleship, or the homing missile. In actuality, the foreign translation of the story probably had cover art supplied by an artist who was unfamiliar with Star Trek or the storyline of Spock Must Die!.
