Ssovek was a Pselliad official that become a minister for the plutocratic administration instated to govern Psellus III after the Romulan Star Empire ceded the planet from its control. In addition to their position inside the ruling cabinet, Ssovek was also the owner to an industrial complex which came under attack from members of the Legion, a terrorist faction that bombed the building as it was being renovated.
Biography
Having sworn allegiance to a faction on the planet Psellus III that had taken over the leadership of the planet after the Romulan Star Empire withdrew from its system and behind their redrawn border zone in compliance with the Treaty of Algeron, Ssovek became a subsequent member of the acknowledge government which assembled to create an oligarchic system of rule that named them as one of its ministers. Though a minor segment of this leadership came from the commoner backgrounds, Ssovek belonged to the larger majority integrated to the power structure as a consequence of their wealth, owning a factory. However, though the United Federation of Planets recognised the administration for its legitimacy, the aftermath of the Romulan withdrawal left their world torn with internal strife between various sentiments which denounced their moves towards membership in the aforementioned coalition.
