For the remastered TNG, the mission of "ADR looping" was removed and replaced with the diplomatic mission. ADR looping refers to an aspect of television production and had originally been added as an in-joke.

Oberth-class science vessel.

The series classification of this ship, as "NAR-18834", was later used as the registry number of the Oberth-class SS Vico, a 24th century civilian Federation science vessel. Although there is a 250-year gap between the two numbers being used, it is possible the re-use could indicate the predecessor NAR18834 vessel had some similarity to the Oberth configuration.
