Perren IX was a planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the ninth planet in orbit of the Perren star system. In the 23rd century, circa the 2260s decade, Perren IX was a Federation world and the site of the University of Nexqualy.
History and specifics
In the year 2268, the University of Nexqualy sent a team of 20 archeologists and archeological technicians from Perren IX to the USS Enterprise to study relics of the Caretian civilization on Careta IV, under the leadership of Doctor Abdul Ramesh Kaul. Admiral James Komack empowered the university's team with access to all of the starship's resources for their study. (TOS novel: Windows on a Lost World)
