Oram had a monastery in Kendra Province. In 2375, he was the Vedek who introduced Benjamin Sisko to Kendra Province, prompting him to buy land there for his planned home. (DS9 episode: "Penumbra")
By 2376, Oram was an important character in the legend of the "land purchase". (ST - New Worlds, New Civilizations short story: "A Walk in the Path of the Emissary")
