History and specifics

The Netron Omega vicinity was in neutral space unclaimed by major governments, and contains a resource of mycelium spores. By the 23rd century in the Kelvin timeline, the only notable known nearby system was V'varia in the Romulan Star Empire. (ST video game: Fleet Command)

The stellar notation using the Greek language letter "omega" indicates that there might be a star group or constellation of some sort named "Netron", of which Netron Omega would logically be indicated to be the 24th most prominent star or system.

Background

While Fleet Command does not establish quadrant locations for game settings, the placement as a system connecting to the Romulan Star Empire strongly indicates that this system is in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. However, the fact that some parts of Romulan space cross into the Alpha Quadrant in other sources casts doubt on that being sufficient evidence to definitively state a quadrant location for the purposes of this wiki.
