The Murdoth are a spacefaring species native to somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

Mot considered Murdoth space as a possible (and incorrect) destination for Jean-Luc Picard and Data, who Mot gave Romulan hairpieces to in 2368. Mot ruled out the Murdoth for being too passive. (TNG novelization: Unification)
