Munk was a Ferengi businessman in the highest income bracket in 2370, and was the father of Tunk.
Biography
He was a rival of Zek's but did not want to take the pay cut that would have come with being the Nagus himself. Zek ousted Munk from the official government, but Munk had tremendous real world power in protection rackets, murder, robbery, and secret deals with Cardassia and Romulus. Munk was overweight and spoke like a salty sea dog. (TNG novel: Balance of Power)
