Commander Mont was ostensibly a Starfleet Officer formerly assigned to a distant planet, Mont is actually not what or who he appears to be.

Character History

Mont has been assigned to guide and protect Professor Baldwin while he is on board the Enterprise. He's a quiet fellow with nondescript features and a powerful physique, with dark hair. Unfortunately for Baldwin, he makes his move on him when Baldwin retires to his quarters for the night. He unsuccessfully tries to kill the Professor, but is overpowered by him and is himself killed. When Dr. Crusher examines him after his death, she discovers that he is in fact an impostor, a native of the planet the real Mont was assigned to, who has sacrificed many of his body's natural features in order to take on Mont's physical appearance. The feathers on his chest, though, betray the Caecilian for what and who he actually is.
