Biography
He was a member of the military.
In 2318, Matrik held the rank of Glinn and was assigned to the Kornaire as its security chief. Gul Danig Kell ordered Matrik to investigate the Cardassian Science Ministry team aboard the Kornaire for the first contact mission to Bajor, believing one of them, most likely Rhan Ico, to be a member of the Obsidian Order. In 2362, Matrik, now a Gul, was in command of the CDS Fell when it was deployed to Tantok Nor as part of Jagul Hanno's task force. When the USS Rutledge was caught on the Cardassian side of the border, Matrik led the Fell in battle against the Starfleet vessel. Later that year, Matrik led the invasion of Setlik III after the planet was attacked by Laen Enkoa. (ST novella: The Slow Knife)
