Kaye was a member of the Earth Starfleet during the Earth-Romulan War.
History
In 2156, Kaye manned the helm of the Challenger during the Battle of Andoria. When the Romulans were trying to capture the Challenger Kaye reported that propulsion and navigation had failed. He died with the rest of the crew, when Captain Roy Dunsel activated the ship's self destruct. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
