Jackson J. Corbert was a 23rd century Human man.
Biography
Corbert was handsome, friendly, sympathetic, and brave. An authority in hunting and planetary survival, he was also professionally trained in leadership and unarmed personal combat. He had some training in biology and zoology, and was a proficient pilot.
In 2273, Corbert was employed as chief expedition guide for Exotica Tours. He led a photo safari tour group which traveled to the planet Quilian IV aboard the transport Bushman. They faced misadventure when he and his tourists were ambushed by previously unknown arboreal natives. He was knocked unconscious and left behind in the brush. His right leg was badly bruised, but with a walking stick he managed to walk back to their landing site, only to find his shuttle battered, pilot Kendall Reese murdered, and Andorian blood from his assistant D'val K'tannan in the wreckage.
He scrawled a warning message about natives on the hull, then kept watch in a cave, seeing groups of natives revisit the campsite several times, perhaps intrigued by the ferroconcrete pyramid that housed the landing site's beacon.
A Federation search party found him two weeks later. Once they had established a defensive perimeter, he showed them where the ambush took place on a northeasterly trail and volunteered to assist in a rescue attempt, hoping that the tourists may still be alive. (FASA RPG module: Safari in Violet)
