A honge is a carnivorous avian lifeform which can be found in the southern areas of the Mekar Wilderness on Cardassia.

They are a strong ferocious nocturnal flying species which can take comparatively large prey. They spend the hot day time in subterranean nests. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)
