Haln was a male Deltan serving in Starfleet in the late 24th century.

By 2384, Haln held the rank of Lieutenant and served as a tactical/security officer aboard the USS Newton. When the USS Enterprise-E was dispatched to assist the Newton in preventing the Holy Order of the Kinshaya from accessing the Nexus, evidence of an Orion spy aboard ship was discovered. Haln, along with Enterprise officers Worf and Aneta Šmrhová, were able to locate and capture the spy by following subspace radio communication emissions. (TNG eBook: The Stuff of Dreams)
