Grix was a Ferengi man. He lived roughly a thousand years after the ascension of Rom becoming Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Alliance.

He once told his nieces and nephews the tale of the last tree on Ferenginar, embellishing the tale somewhat. He also said he would tell them the story of meeting an all-woman Parrises squares team on Risa when they were older.
