Gasoline (also known as "gas" or petrol) was a substance, a liquid derivative of petroleum that can be burned as a fuel.

History and specifics

On the planet Earth, gasoline was synthesized and patented by an inventor of the Human civilization and became a primary resource in the world's burgeoning technological age.

In the 2350s decade, circa 2353, a Starfleet security team deployed to evacuate the Federation embassy on PojjanPiraKot was advancing through a crowd of protesters who seemed to be lighting towels on fire for the purpose of creating Molotov cocktails. Greg Blake asked if he rioters might really be able to throw them far enough to hit the squad, but Travis Perraton commented they wouldn't need to as there were wide puddles of flammable kerosene between.
