The F-16 Fighting Falcon was a multi-role fighter aircraft used by the United States Air Force in the late 20th century and early 21st century.
Legacy
The designs for the F-16 Falcon were present in the databanks on the USS Verdun. In 2163 Commodore Lucian Murat had downloaded the schematics before abandoning ship. Sometime prior to 2367 Lysander Murat had seen the designs from the downloaded databanks. Lysander had hoped that his forces could develop their own F-16 Falcon on Torgu-Va to help in their fight against the Tarn forces. (TNG novel: The Forgotten War)
In 2248, 11-year-old Hikaru Sulu had a toy replica of an F-16. (TOS - Strange New Worlds 8 short story: "Don't Call Me Tiny")
