History

In 2368, when Ro Laren and Geordi La Forge were accidentally put out of phase, Ro thought she had died and remained on the USS Enterprise as a borhya. (TNG episode: "The Next Phase")

After Benjamin Sisko and Kira Nerys travelled back in time to the year 2369, no one on Terok Nor could see them. Kira suggested that it was because they were Borhyas, although Sisko, who was aware of the term, believed that they were not dead, but that it was the work of the Prophets. (DS9 novel: Inferno)

In 2376 Kira Nerys dreamed she encountered a borhya-like apparition of Benjamin Sisko. (DS9 novels: Avatar, Book One, Avatar, Book Two)
