Beata was a female native of the planet Angel I who by 2364 had been selected as Elected One.

Beata worked with an away team from the USS Enterprise-D the same year in order to find survivors of the Odin that had crashed on Angel I. She initiated a short-lived romantic relationship with Enterprise first officer Commander William T. Riker during the course of the search; but she often took a hostile tone with the Enterprise crewmembers. (TNG episode: "Angel One", ST website: StarTrek.com)
