Atrocitus was member of the Red Lantern Corps.
History
Though an enemy of the Green Lantern Corps, Atrocitus agreed to work with them to meet the threat of Nekron. When the plan failed, Ganthet enacted a last ditch escape to the Kelvin timeline, bringing all the ring bearers with him. Materializing in 2262 in Gorn space, Atrocitus made his way to Gorn homeworld where a red ring had found Glocon. Though Atrocitus was ready to slay the new Red Lantern, Garron convinced him they could be allies. Taking Glocon as his ward, Atrocitus led an attack on Starbase 12, drawing the attention of the other surviving Lanterns. After the USS Enterprise had taken Thaal Sinestro prisoner and warped away, the rings of the new lanterns were called off. Atrocitus and Larfleeze subsequently abandoned the fight. Atrocitus spent the next six months searching the Milky Way Galaxy for a source of rage powerful enough to recharge his ring. Finding a great source of it within an asteroid, Atrocitus blasted through the defences, finding the Khan Noonien Singh's group of Augments in stasis. As he began to free them, Atrocitus was overpowered by the Augments, his ring being claimed by Khan. Having detected the security breach, Starfleet sent Guy Gardner, Kilowog and John Stewart to confront Atrocitus. When Gardner revealed to Khan that the ring was loyal to Atrocitus, the Augment slew him, his ring accepting Khan as its new bearer. (TOS - Stranger Worlds comics: "Issue 2", "Issue 3")
