Alexi was a Circassian cat, a pet belonging to a young Geordi La Forge.

Biography

La Forge owned the pet when he was eight years old in the 2340s decade. He described it as "funny-looking". (TNG episode: "Violations")

One time it escaped its pen and was missing for three days, despite La Forge's relentless searching. The cat reutrned to the pen on its own with some missing and matted fur, but acted as if nothing unusual had happened. (TNG - Strange New Worlds I short story: "See Spot Run")

Later, in 2374, when Data was trying to solve a food problem with Spot, Geordi described a time when Alexi only ate when he ate, so he'd find himself having to eat more to motivate the pet to eat. (TNG - The Q Continuum novel: Q-Space)
