- Sarek is appointed by T'Pau to serve at the Vulcan embassy on Earth, a new ally, and to explore and experience the planet and send her reports.[2]
- Chateau Briar, a French wine, has a 2191 vintage. In 2267, a time travelling Jean-Luc Picard sampled some Chateau Briar that was in the possession of Commodore Travers. Picard was able to determine that it was a 2191 vintage and tasted rather bland because one-fourth of the crop had been damaged by frost.[3]
